Project for Integrative Health and the Triple Aim (PIHTA)

Knowledge Base

The optimal focus of research on the values, practices and disciplines associated integrative health and medicine is to help decision-makers through whole system examinations of outcomes relative to the goals of the Triple Aim.

To date, and despite the priorities in the mandate to NIH from Congress to examine the value of integrating the modalities, systems and disciplines in these fields with conventional systems, only a very small percentage of federal research funding has focused on this real-world direction.

Yet guidance exists in the peer-reviewed literature and in internal studies of multiple stakeholders as reported at conferences and through industry media channels. The Knowledge Base portion of PIHTA is devoted to sharing such outcomes as are available to help guide decision processes.
