Project to Enhance Research Literacy (PERL) - Transferring Knowledge from Classroom to Clinic

Advanced Degrees and Continuing Education 

Several of the grantee institutions have developed On-line CE programs as well as advanced degrees. The ability for clinicians to access continued support for EIP as well as pursue advanced training contributes to transferring EIP from the classroom to the clinic setting. 

Continuing Education:

Evidence Informed Practice/Case writing
This is a 3 credit hour CE course offered through Palmer College of Chiropractic. This link takes you to their website where you can register for a fee.

Basics of Research Literacy and Finding and Evaluating Research.
These 8-hour and 3-hour, NCBTMB-approved, courses are offered through the Massage Therapy Foundation .

Advanced degrees:

Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research
This degree is offered by the National University for Natural Medicine. It is designed to promote research as well as EIP clinicians.

Basic Clinical Research Methods Graduate Certificate
List of the required courses to obtain a graduate certificate from University of Washington School of Public Health (Document provided courtesy of Bastyr University). This collaborative effort provided an incentive for faculty participating in the Research Training Program, a research mentorship program between the two institutions.

Coordinated Degree Program
The National University of Health Sciences offers two coordinated master's degree programs in conjunction with the University of Illinois at Chicago. A Master of Public Health and a Master of Science in Clinical Translation.

Master of Science in Clinical Research
This program is offered through Palmer College of Chiropractic to promote clinical research.

Clinical Research Residency 3-yr program
The National University of Health Sciences offers a residency program inclusive of a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
