Dr. Rosalia Messina is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at University of Western States (UWS) in Portland, Oregon. As EVP/CSIO, Rosalia serves as the primary representative for the president in facilitating operational and strategic planning as well as serves as the administrative liaison to the board of trustees. She provides leadership for the integration of all university operations, including direct oversight of the offices of human resources, admissions, student services, alumni and career services, marketing, advancement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

In addition to her responsibilities at UWS, Rosalia serves on the Board of Directors of the Council on Chiropractic Education, the professional accrediting agency for doctor of chiropractic degree and residency programs. She also serves as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Oregon Cooperative for Integrative Medicine, a non-profit focused on advancing integrative health care through interprofessional education and practice. Before coming to UWS, Rosalia worked at Oregon Health & Science University and the in which she oversaw the administration of and planning for public health policies and services.

Rosalia holds a master’s degree in Public Administration with a focus in health administration from Portland State University and Doctorate in Education, emphasizing interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University.
