Michael Mestan, BS, DC, MS, EdD

Michael Mestan has a bachelor’s degree in human biology, a second generation Doctor of Chiropractic, and married to a second-generation chiropractor. He has worked as a chiropractor, served as chief resident during his full-time diagnostic imaging residency, has Diplomate status with the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (DACBR) and maintained a private practice of radiology for 10 years.

Mestan served on the executive committee of the American Chiropractic College of Radiology for six years and has had held various faculty and administrative chiropractic college appointments. He studied higher education leadership at the University of Rochester where he earned a master’s and doctorate degrees in educational administration (w/ spec. in higher education). Dr Mestan has published in peer reviewed and indexed journals, was a co-investigator on a federal government planning grant, serves on editorial boards for chiropractic related journals, and participated as a member on several regional and specialty accreditation site visit teams. 

He was accepted as a Fellow in the International College of Chiropractors (FICC) in 2007 and in the American College of Chiropractors (FACC) in 2012.  He has been at the New York Chiropractic College since 2002 and serves as its president.
