Jan Schwartz is co-founder and president of Education and Training Solutions, a web-based education company that designs and hosts online courses. She has worked in education and training since 1988.  Schwartz served as the Director of Education at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts in Tucson, AZ and was an Executive Vice President of Education at a multi-campus massage school. She currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the University of Western States.

As a founding member of the Academic Collaborative for Integrative Health Schwartz served on the executive committee and chaired the strategic planning task force.  She co-chaired the Education Working Group for 5 years and remains a member of the board today.

Schwartz was a Commissioner for the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation for five years and Chair of the Commission for three years. She is also a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Massage Therapy Foundation (MTF) and is currently on the advisory board of the MTF. Schwartz received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rutgers University and her master’s degree in Sustainable Entrepreneurship at Prescott College.

Jan lives in Tucson, AZ with her partner, their dog, two cats and some chickens. She is an avid hiker, a voracious reader, and a lover of the desert.
