Dr. Majd is the clinic director of Osher center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Washington, he is Board Certified in Integrative Medicine (ABoIM), Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and Medical Acupuncture (DABMA). He serves on the Board of commissioners of the NCCAOM.

He maintains a Board Certification in Integrative Medicine by American Board of Physician Specialties, and has been providing Acupuncture and Integrated Medicine in UW Neighborhood Clinics Network.

Dr. Majd is faculty at the Department of Family Medicine, University of Washington in Seattle and has supervised speciality clinical shifts such as Immune Wellness (IWC) at Bastyr Center for Natural Health, as an adjunct faculty at the Department of AEAM. Dr. Majd has a long history of working and supporting integrative medicine and health, and he lectures broadly in this area both nationally and internationally. He has been proctoring many Bastyr and UW medical students and residents in clinical rotations aimed at bringing their academic knowledge into practice and helping them to combine their Eastern and Western Medicine for a more “holistic” approach to health.

With his participation in the policy working group at The Consortium, he has been essential to building bridges between Eastern and Western Medicine and advocating for collaboration between organizations.

At the national level, he has dedicated his time to participate in developing high standards certification (board) exam for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine candidates. Also by being involved at state and national levels, he has participated in the leadership of activities that promote acupuncture; he chaired the Hospital-Based Practice Task Force at the NCCAOM to create documents to facilitate credentialing acupuncturists in the mainstream hospital settings.

He is also a member of the American Association of Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Board of Integrative Medicine and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine.
