Christa Louise, MS, PhD has been the executive director of the North American Board of Naturopathic Examiners (NABNE) since it was established in 2000. Since 1990, she has worked with NPLEX (Naturopathic Physicians Licensing Examinations) as director of testing, where she oversees all aspects of exam development for the NPLEX Part I - Biomedical Science and the Part II - Clinical Science Examinations.

Dr. Louise has a master's degree in Psychometrics and Research Methodology, and she has a PhD in Systems Science. Her dissertation described the systems principles that underlie naturopathic medicine, arguing that holistic systems of medicine cannot be evaluated using reductionistic methods, and exploring research models that address whole systems.

Louise has been a member of the Naturopathic Coordinating Council since 2004. She is an editor and contributing author for the Foundations of Naturopathic Medicine Project. She is currently working with the legislative affairs committee of the American Association or Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) to increase the number of states that license NDs. Prior to her work in the naturopathic profession, she worked with refugee programs at the local, state, and national levels.
