Alyssa Wostrel serves as the Executive Director of ACIH. Alyssa camee to the Collaborative with extensive knowledge of the disciplines that the Collaborative represents, as well as strong leadership experience in both the non-profit and for-profit worlds. Her prior experience includes being the Executive Director of the Integrative Health Policy Consortium (IHPC) from 2012-2016, a sister organization of the Collaborative.  She led the significant expansion of the 501c-4's organization and was successful in more than doubling the membership. Alyssa was instrumental in developing, funding and launching IHPC's "CoverMyCare" campaign in support of the full implementation of Section 2706, the Non-Discrimination Provision of the Affordable Care Act.  During her tenure, IHPC successfully funded and launched its first publication, "Integrative Health and Medicine: Today's Answer to Affordable Healthcare" intended for policymakers, legislators and insurance executives.

Alyssa brings years of executive level corporate experience in sales, marketing and medical education with leading homeopathic pharmaceutical manufacturing companies. In 2005, she founded a consulting company 1M Integrative Solutions through which she has worked with a wide spectrum of organizations on various healthcare and related policy and strategic issues. Her personal background includes a significant interest in and experience with integrative medicine and health.  

Alyssa resides in Venice, California with her husband, two dogs and a ragdoll cat (who thinks she is a dog).  She loves to bike, hike and boogie board at the beach.
